Vintage LONE STAR "Cold Beer" Billiards Lamp. Awesome, iconic LONE STAR BEER hanging billiards light. These same fixtures hung in the famous honkytonk known as Gilley's Club and were seen in the hit movie Urban Cowboy. Manufactured some time around late 1970's / early 1980's. There is a common version of this sign that is a stand-alone wall hung/fluorescent lit "cold beer" bottle that comes up for sale pretty often. This billiards lamp is much more rare and gives you a lot more to look at. Each side shows the "cold beer" design and each butt end features a woodgrain panel with Lone Star shield logo with a raised gold bezel. Lamp is in good shape with some expected wear for it's age. Slight fading to the logos, a few minor scrapes and nicks here and there. Plastic is still sturdy and not brittle. One of the bulb fixtures was repaired after it popped loose from the frame. None of this really stands out, it just looks like a vintage beer light, but thought it would be worth mentioning. Simple fixture takes 3 standard bulbs (all I had laying around were some lame compact fluorescent bulbs) but it would look better with some classic 25 watt incandescent bulbs. Works great and has an inline rotary switch on the cord. Original metal hanging chains included. Full sized pool table lamp measures 49" Long X 16.5" Wide X 12.5 Tall.
