The top of the shade is a white pierced metal, while the bottom of the shade is a round beige fiberglass disc. The on/off rotary knob switch is located at the center of this fiberglass disc (see photos). The fixture is meant to be mounted to a wall, and there is a hanging cylindrical weight which keeps the fixture in place.
The electrical cord is long enough to manually adjust the height of the shade (see photos). PLEASE NOTE : This is NOT a retractable light fixture. This fixture has a standard plug for plugging it into a wall.
We are uncertain as to the maker of this fixture - there are no tags or labels present. 15" in diameter x 5.5" in height. The cylindrical brass weight measures approx.
7.5" long x 1.5" in diameter. The round brass colored wall plate measures approx. The extension rod that acts as an arm to provide clearance for the shade from its hanging surface measures approx. CONDITION : Overall the fixture is in very good, all-original vintage condition. It could use a gentle cleaning, but displays nicely as it is. There is a little bit of what looks like residual paint on the pierced metal reflector shade at the top. The woven material around the shade is free from rips, holes, tears, burn marks, punctures, repairs, etc. The lacing is intact all the way around, so there's no issue there. The fiberglass disc on the bottom side is in great shape - no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, burn marks, etc.The brass metal components of the fixture are also free from having any issues - no rust, oxidation, dents, dings, repairs, etc. The electrical wiring looks original with no issues to report - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. The lamp is in fully functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always suggest having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use, just to be safe.
