Vintage MCM Red Acrylic Dome Swag Light Hanging Lamp Mid Century Modern 60s 70s

ITEM : For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage red dome hanging swag light fixture. Materials: Acrylic, Glass Shade, Chain Link. The fixture is quite simple - it consists of a red acrylic dome under which there is a removable milk glass shade which conceals the light socket. The glass shade is held in place by three screws that, which tightened, fasten it to the fixture. The fixture hangs using chain link, through which the electrical cord is braided. There is an inline on/off thumb switch that is contained within the wiring for functionality. We are uncertain as to the maker - there are no tags or labels present indicating that information. There is still an original UL sticker label attached by the light socket (see photos). It's a great fixture that is suitable for all interior settings.

MEASUREMENTS : The red dome shade measures approx. 14" in diameter x 6" tall. The round milk glass shade measures approx. We did not measure the chain link, but there is plenty to work with - most likely 8' or slightly more.

There is on small, old crack located at the very top of the red dome shade (see photos). It is completely stable, and does not affect the stability of the item. When hanging in place, it isn't seen because it is at the very top of the fixture. Aside from that, there are some mild superficial scratches, but nothing all that bad given the age of the item. There are no chips, breaks repairs, heat sensitive areas (burn marks or melted areas).

The glass shade is free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The wiring looks to be original, and it is in good shape with no problems to report.
