Vintage Gold Double Swag Hanging Hollywood Regency Mid Century Floor Lamp MCM

A stunning example of Hollywood Regency Design in this late mid-century double swag floor lamp! The round weighted base (1 inches in diameter) easily supports the two gorgeously ornate swag lights. The lamps themselves have an inner cylindrical diffuser shade.

It's 9 inches long and 5 inches in diameter. The lamp takes standard incandescent light bulbs.

Surrounding the inner cylinder diffuser is the metal / glass combination outer shade that, like most R. Meant to signify both opulence and comfort. The yellow/gold glass inside the ornate metalwork is itself mottled; providing yet another layer of complexity and opulence.

Each light is 6 sided, with 3 yellow/gold textured glass inserts and 3 ornately detailed metal sides. Outside dimensions of the swags are 12 1/2 inches long by 8 inches wide. The multiple layers of shade provide a warm, welcoming glow. The lamp has nice patina over most of its surface that is pleasing to many but if not desired, can be removed with an off-the-shelf metal polish. There's a good cord that appears original.

The vintage lamp is in excellent working condition. The mid-column switch cycles on one lamp, then the second, then both lamps together, then all off. This gives lots of illumination options. The central column measures an impressive 6 feet tall. The widest point of the lamp (from the outside of one swag to the other) is 23 inches.

Overall, the lamp exhibits all the highly desirable traits that make Hollywood Regency Design so beautiful. Reasonable Offers Considered, Youd Be Surprised.
