This is a vintage MCM swag lamp with a gray smokey glass shade and ornate gold plated finish. The lamp has an ornate Hollywood Regency style and a lantern-shaped ribbed smoked glass globe.
It was manufactured in 1960's by the brand Progress and has one light. The lamp is designed for indoor use and is currently wired and hung from the ceiling. But if rewired easily could be adapted to be a swag lamp with an in line switch and more chain. Notes to mention, besides the old wiring.... The turn screws have rust on them..
But they do still function. The glass globe is in extremely clean and great vintage shape there is one " bubble" in the glass which was probably there when manufactured. The sparking ornate gold finish so true to that Hollywood Regency era is still in pretty good shape... There is a small spot of paint on the bottom tip of the finial that I did not try to remove.
All of the above shown in the pictures so please do see all pictures for best description possible. The glass globe measures approximately 10" high and 7" wide at the widest part. As it is now the drop of the chain measures approximately 24 from the ceiling to the top of the globe. Overall drop right now is approximately 40 in total length from the ceiling to the bottom finial.
