I did not try to wire. There is wear to the light sockets (which made me nervous to try and wire). There are holes for crystal prisms, but this does not come with prisms. "Sleeves" for the 8 light sockets will need to be replaced. This weighs about 7.5 Pounds. It does NOT attract a magnet. The width of the chandelier is 19.5. The height of the main middle piece is 13.5 not including misc.
