Rare MCM Vintage OWL Swag Hanging pendant Lamp. Woodland TIKI Bar Light electric
Wonderful and unusual find for home or tiki bar, man cave or den.. This owl is approx 7.5" tall, 5.5" wide and 5 deep.
Right now there is a green bulb inside, but any color bulb could be used... The cut outs cast shadows. Construction: This lamp is made up of the ceramic owl, a twine covered cord and a wood structure. The owl has a hole in the top of the head for the cord to fit through, and is kept in by the socket inside the owl.
The wood structure is a square of four thick sticks with a long stick with a bent piece that sticks out. I'm not certain if the square is meant to attach to a wall of the ceiling, or rafters etc. The bent protruding part of the long stick keeps the owl out away from the base. At the owls feet, on either side there is one hole, on each side, with twine strings that look like they were once attached together of attached to something else.. Maybe another stick was there at one time for the owl to perch on.
