An Italian blue glass swag lamp with an optic vertical stripe pattern and cast spelter metal fittings. Inside the globe there is a perforated metal cylinder to diffuse the light. This is true blue glass, it is not painted/flashed on the inside.Hues of blue are the least common color found on Empoli swag lamps, usually they are found in amber or green. There were several US companies importing Empoli glass in the 50s - 70s.

Empoli glass is frequently misattributed as being Murano. No chips (exception being a shallow edge chip on the fitter end, it in no way affects the structural integrity and is unseen when fitted to the holder, see detail photo). There are a few minor surface scratches and water spots. Metal fittings have light oxidation. 14" diameter x 22" high (including cast metal fittings).
Plugs into an existing outlet and has an inline rotary switch. There is approximately 12 feet of cord and chain.
