No work has been done to them. Exact year of making is not verified. I matched them up to two different research items. One said circa 1900 that they matched the closest to in similarities, while the other said circa 1960, which they sort of matched. These things are very delicate - please know this up front. These are lanterns - no electric involved. Tops: One of the lanterns is missing what I will call the half moon - see pics 1 & 3. Both lanterns are coming apart at seams - see pic 10 & 11 for an example. Previous owner used gold wire throughout to hold seams together - very hard to see in pic 10.
One of the lanterns is missing a glass piece - see pic 10. I believe this can be replaced with a piece of glass from a craft store or a flat stone for an aquarium, but cannot guarantee. Both lanterns show age, dents, dings, rust, patina, coming apart, missing glass, dirty, need a good cleaning, one missing half moon, bottoms dented, scratches, wear, tear, cracks/chips in glass pieces, and so forth. Both lanterns have latched lids that are not very stable from age and usage along with hinges being lose.
I think these are really great pieces, but I want you to know they have concerns based on age, being delicate, and usage. We do our best to make you happy. It's faster and easier for all so the matter can be rectified quickly. The item "Vintage Pair Moroccan Jeweled Pierced Brass Hanging Lamps Lanterns Lights" is in sale since Thursday, April 13, 2017.
