An Italian blue glass swag lamp with an optic vertical stripe pattern and cast spelter metal fittings. Inside the globe there is a plastic cylinder to diffuse the light. This is true blue glass, it is not painted/flashed on the inside. Hues of blue are the least common color found on Empoli swag lamps, usually they are found in amber or green.
The specific maker unknown, but this is Empoli glass. There were several US companies importing Empoli glass in the 50s - 70s. Rossini, Guildcraft and Vimax to name a few. Empoli is a town located about 12 miles Southwest of Florence, Italy and is known for their glass making.
Empoli glass is frequently misattributed as being Murano. There are some minor surface scratches. Shade holder has mismatched screws. 11" diameter x 12" high (including cast metal fittings). Plugs into an existing outlet and has an inline rotary switch.
There is approximately 12 feet of cord and chain. The lamp has been refurbished with a new chain, new socket, new cord and new plug. The lamp is shown with a 60 watt equivalent (7 watt) clear LED bulb. Because of the acrylic cylinder in the lamp, this is for LED bulbs only.
