Vintage 1983 Ceramic Hot Air Balloon Hanging Night Light Lamp, Childrens Nursery

Bottom of basket & inside are signed, mom 1983. Possibly painted while pregnant for her baby to be. Mom did a wonderful job painting this piece in a nice mix of soft pastel gender neutral tones.

I wanted to add my Calico Critter Mouse to the basket for photos but I wasn't able to find him. It's fun choosing different figures to display in the basket but I don't know the scale... Basket is 3" inches wide by 2" inches tall. The basket is permanently fastened to balloon base with 3 tiny ropes.

With a gentle twist the balloon base & connected basket will detach from the main fixture giving internal access for switching out the bulb. I have added a piece of white craft foam to fit around the notched end of the Base {part that inserts (male)}. This helps protect both conjoined ends while creating a tighter connection & preventing separate motion of the pieces. Fixture can be hung from the ceiling at any length. It has a very long cord with swag style brass colored metal chain + 2 prong plug for standard outlet. Lamp is in very good condition as I cannot see any chips cracks nick's or scratches.
